A tricycle is a good option for short distance travel, and it’s cheap as well. For travels from town to town, a bus or jeepney will do, but if you want to maximise your tour around the island in a short period of time, you can ride a taxi or hire a private vehicle.
Car and motorcycle rentals are also common in Bohol, which you can avail at reasonable rates depending on how many you are in the group. For island hopping tours, rental of the boat varies on the size of the boat, season, and the islands to visit.
For a peace of mind in your travel to Bohol, you can simply join a pre-arranged group tour. You will be part of the tour with other groups and your costs will be divided among the participants. Just make sure to check the inclusions and rates so you can get the best deal at the best rates.

Virgin Island Bohol
More commonly known to tourists as Virgin Island, Pungtud Island lies in the middle of a relatively shallow area between Balicasag and Panglao Islands. It is always a crowd favorite because of its C-shaped naked sandbar.
Unlike in Balicasag Island, there’s not much to do here other than bathe in the sun. One thing you can only do here, though, is to just sit or lie in the sand with your body half dipped in the shallow water.😜 There’s not much space to swim around either because the island is surrounded by sea grass. It’s alright for snorkeling because there are some fish hiding underneath. But it can underwhelm visitors who just came from Balicasag.

You know, where you don’t make much effort to appreciate the sheer beauty of the surroundings. You just lie in the sand, make little splashes in the water, drink fresh buko juice, share stories with family or friends, and just have pure, relaxing, fun time. Other times, we liked pretending to be part of Aang’s entourage and try sand-bending.

Don‘t forget to visit The Butterfly Sanctuary too!
Bohol Butterfly Sanctuaries have been established by butterfly enthusiasts and are now gaining recognition. There are more or less 300 butterfly species native to the province and the sanctuaries are aiming to conserve and raise the butterfly population in the island.

Hinagdanan Cave

Hinagdanan Cave is a cave in the municipality of Dauis on Panglao Island, in Bohol Province, in the Philippines. It is a naturally lighted cavern with a deep lagoon and many large stalactites and stalagmites.
The cave is lit by sunlight which filters through holes in the ceiling. The underground lake is a popular swimming spot, but it has been known to test for high levels of various pollutants, since it is fed by ground runoff.
Hinagdanan Cave is made of limestone. The entrance of the cave is a hole of about 1 metre wide in diameter, visible from a limestone hill. Cemented steps lead to the interior of the cave. The cave is slippery, but there's a railing made of rope to hold on to avoid accident due to slippery stones of the cave. The cave is filled with sleeping birds in small holes in the ceiling. The sunlight that permeates is unsuitable for bats.
