Glattfelden ist eine politische Gemeinde im Bezirk Bülach des Kantons Zürich in der Schweiz an der Staatsgrenze zu

Deutschland.

Glattfelden is a municipality in the district of Bülach in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland, and belongs to the Glatt Valley.

Glattfelden is located on the main road no. 7 Basel-Winterthur, which bypasses the village as the cantonal A50 motorway.

The Glattfelden station is located outside of Glattfelden in the municipality Bülach on the railway line Bülach-Schaffhausen and is served by the S9 line of the Zurich S-Bahn. The bus line 540 of the Zurich Transport Association connects the station with the village and on to Zweidlen station.

Zweidlen has its own train station, which is located near Rheinsfelden on the Winterthur-Koblenz line. (S41) is located. This station was closed in the wake of austerity measures for passenger transport in 1995, reopened after protests five years later in 2000.

Glattfelden ~ is such a wonderful place to live. It’s very peaceful and really ideal for family with children and pets. There is a very nice and friendly hotel called Riverside Hotel enough space for guests from all over.

Glattfelden liegt im Zürcher Unterland am letzten Teilstück des Flusses Glatt, der bei Rheinsfelden in den Rhein mündet. Der Ort umfasst neben dem Dorf Glattfelden die Siedlungen Schachen, Aarüti, Rheinsfelden und Zweidlen. Nachbargemeinden sind: Weiach, Hohentengen, Eglisau, Bülach, Hochfelden und Stadel. Zum Gemeindegebiet gehört auch die Exklave Neuhus, ein Einzelhof in der Rheinaue, wodurch Glattfelden auch mit Hüntwangen gemeinsame Grenze hat.
