Swarovski Christmas Tree A Yearly Tradition at Zürich Mainstation

One of the most beautiful traditions of Christmas in Zurich has to be the sparkling Swarovski Christmas tree at Zurich main station. The station, or “HB” as it is often referred to, comes alive at Christmas time as the hall is filled with the bustle of the Christkindlimarkt. The Christmas Market at the station lasts around 4 weeks from the end of November till just before Christmas. It’s full of bright lights, colour and lots of stall holders eagerly selling their wares.

Around the base of the tree is a Swarovski showcase where you can see the latest pieces from their current collection, in addition to pieces from the last twenty years.
